As of January 1st, 2008, the Branch office located at 200 Avenue C, Del Rio, Texas, will be closed. Everyone will continue to have services available at any of the remaining three branches, and the branch above will remain open through December 31st, 2007. All services will remain open at our other branches by using the U. S. Mail, Normal office hours at those branches, also by Telephone and On-line services.
All transaction accounts will continue to operate in a normal fashion. Deposits can be made through the mail, visiting an existing branch, or by direct deposit. Withdrawals can be made by using the mail, or visiting an existing branch. If you have a checking account, and a debit card, you will be able to use this account without interruption. Your deposits, if made by direct deposit from an employer, will be made available on the same schedule you currently experience. All loan payments will continue to be honored on the day that the credit union receives your payments. All Loan Applications will be accepted by U.S. Mail, or by using our On-line application system.
The Board, and Staff, would like to extend a heart-felt apology to anyone that will be inconvenienced by this decision. We had to think long and hard about the loss of a branch. This is the only logical choice that we feel could be made, given the fact that after several years of operation, there are very few members using this branch. The monthly operating income, falls extremely short of the monthly cost. That makes this an unfortunate, but a necessary move.
Please do not lose faith in the "Credit Union" movement. We are here to make everyone's life a little easier. Every once in a while these things happen. There are always alternatives, you just need to decide what works best for each of you. Let us know what we can do to help make this a smooth transition, and again we are truly sorry for the trouble we may have caused.
Sincerely,
Richard D. Lynch
